The Parlour at Blagdon Wedding.
Aimee & Ryan chose to have their wedding in September and their wedding ceremony at St Columbas RC Church in Wallsend and what a beautiful church it is. The wedding venue they chose was The Parlour at Blagdon (Situated in the amazing Blagdon Estate) which is a lovely chabby chic quirky venue with lots of pretty small gardens.
Wow those photographs are just absolutely amazing! We had such a lovely night last night going through them all it was like doing the day all over again. We cant even begin to thank you and Andrea enough! Having you both as our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding and we are just so grateful to both of you!
Thank you again! Cant wait to show everyone the photos!
Aimee and her girls got ready at her mum’s house and she had a lovely, relaxed morning, the nerves started to hit her as she put her dress on and had to head to the church, Aimee’s step father walked her down the isle to a very nervous groom, Ryan even got a bit teary.
Aimee and Ryan had drinks and Canapes in the grounds of the Parlour at Blagdon then we took them to a nearby lake for their portrait photographs, it was a little bit breezy but the sun shone on our lovely couple and their photographs are gorgeous.
Aimee made a stunning bride and Ryan was a very dapper groom - such a lovely couple and fun to be around - they absolutely adore each other which was lovely to see.
Thanks for the memories of an epic wedding day and we wish you both all the best for your future.

A few words from Aimee about her wedding at the Parlour at Blagdon
How long have you been together / any stories about how you met?
Ryan and I have been together since we were 14 years old in high school. We met when he was “dating” (if you can call it that at that age!) one of my friends. After they broke up me and ryan started chatting and the rest is history.
Any stories or tales from the proposal?
Ryan proposed to me on Christmas day. I had bought him a full size storm trooper helmet as his Christmas present…. he got me a diamond ring!
Reasons for choosing your venue?
….. well… the separation factors offered by the venue was what actually sold it to us! We liked the fact that there were separate rooms to be in so that family members who don't speak could spread out as opposed to all being locked in the same room… which would have been painful for everyone! But we had planned to have a shabby chic themed relaxed wedding day so the parlour did offer us that too.
Colour scheme / theme / style?
We just wanted everyone to have a nice day to be honest so we just tried to make the day as relaxed as possible.
We had been to a wedding whilst we were planning our own and had noticed that all of the groomsmen were wearing the same suit so it wasn’t overly obvious which one the groom actually was. This is why we put Ryan in a checked grey suit as opposed to the plain grey the groomsmen were wearing. Just to make him stand out a bit.
My shoes were ugg wedding pumps as I have a massive addiction to the brand UGG…. now with a total of 18 pairs all still in the original boxes much to Ryan's distress.
Any special thoughts / memories from the big day?
The whole day was absolutely perfect, neither of us would have changed a single thing about it. From start to finish we just had the best day ever… from Ryan crying at the alter, then our photographer almost burning the church down **praise Jesus (said Ryan)**, the venue and food were amazing and our trip to the lake to have photographs was brilliant! The evening party was amazing even though one of the guests actually emptied a full jar of sweets from the candy cart into her hand bag to take home. The band were absolutely out of this world and everyone seemed to have a fab night. We actually went to Redworth hall for the weekend after the wedding before coming home and opening all of our cards and gifts. We actually discovered that Ryan's mini me from the cake topper had been kidnapped and we received ransom demands from the abductor for a few weeks following the wedding until one afternoon Little Ryan appeared in our spice cupboard by the salt and pepper!! On a side note - Ryan walked into work on the Monday after the wedding and his whole company got made redundant - he said it was a matter of - congrats on the marriage , pack your $%&* and get out , heres your p45… so we flew to Mexico and got absolutely mortal for 2 solid weeks because that just solves everything!
Any advice for couples planning a wedding?
Don't involve families in the planning! Just plan what ever you want as a couple and make your day completely about the two of you. Just relax and enjoy every minute of it together. (Ryan says his advice would be to just go abroad!).
Finally , Craig and Andrea and the pictures we received.
Believe it or not Ryan absolutely hates having his photo taken , and you both made us so comfortable that it was so so easy , the photos were above and beyond our expectations and are a phenomenal reminder of our day. Thank you both so much! We just felt so at ease and really got along with both of you. You just made our day so much easier.
Thank you both so much! Hope you have a lovely christmas
