HANNAH & CRAIG DURHAM CASTLE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

We were privileged to be the wedding photographers for Hannah & Craig’s wedding at the iconic Durham Castle along with our second photographer Dru Dodd.

Built in 1072 under the orders of William the Conqueror, Durham Castle is a perfect example of preserved history in the North East of England, with it’s cobbled entrance & archways to it’s sweeping driveway around to the main entrance it is a beautiful backdrop for a wedding.

Hannah & Craig had family join them from all over the world; Craig’s family traveled from New Zealand, his Japanese parents that he lived with for the year he was in their country to friends from America to name a few.

The ceremony was held in the main castle chapel followed by a reception in The Great Hall, the theme was white with accents of spring colours (mint, lavender, pink & blue), the centerpiece’s were white birdcages filled with carnations & gypsophilia, the cake was 3 tiered with flowers to match the bridesmaid colours.

The day itself was cloudy but filled with fun, laughter & a few tears along the way - especially as Craig’s mum couldn’t make their big day but had sent a very touching recorded message to them both.

The day closed with sparklers outdoors followed by the New Zealand boys performing a traditional Haka - suited & booted – fantastic - a wedding photographers dream!

We wish them all the best & thank them for allowing us to be a part of their big day; one that we certainly won’t forget.

And a big thank you to Dru for his assistance and to the best man Scott & maid of honor Clara…..……….you guys rock.
